Food Stories: Medical


My family has been very supportive and understanding. They still eat shellfish, but are considerate.  For example, when cooking shellfish in the house, they use the necessary measures to avoid contamination of other food and also clean everything carefully afterword.  There is a certain amount of lighthearted teasing that goes on when we have family reunions in Maine — with a seafood feast – about how delicious it is. I miss lobster a LOT!  It’s a balancing act – I understand their desire for shellfish, and they understand my health restrictions.
